July 2025: Voluntary Carbon and Nature Markets Consultation

June 2025: UK Nature Markets Dialogue: Key Findings and Proposal

The Nature Markets Dialogue has reached an important milestone with the synthesis of its key findings and the development of a proposal for a nature market governance scheme, following 12 months of discussion and engagement involving a total of 169 people from 147 organisations from across the public, private and third sectors.
This paper follows two Ministerial roundtables and multiple stakeholder workshops and consultations. The first part sets out the key findings of the Dialogue to date including critical governance gaps. Part two sets out a preliminary proposal for a nature market governance framework that seeks to balance the need for oversight with the need to enable nature markets to continue to evolve.
2024: The Establishment of the Nature Markets Dialogue

The Dialogue builds on the findings of the 2023 State of UK Nature Markets report, identifying where policy gaps remain and convening the right people and organisations to pursue the solutions.
