Broadway is working with stakeholders that operate regionally and locally to help develop a place-based framework, reflecting the fact that the environmental solutions in places such as towns, cities and rural landscapes are highly context specific.
Broadway is working with stakeholders that operate regionally and locally to help develop a place-based framework, reflecting the fact that the environmental solutions in places such as towns, cities and rural landscapes are highly context specific.
National environmental targets and objectives need to be translated into spatially specific plans and action, in a way which engages local communities. This will involve replacing the myriad of siloed environmental planning policies with a unified ‘local environmental improvement plan. Such an approach would help support green jobs and the deployment of green infrastructure.
